NEW LIBRARY CARDS are available at the library. Children younger than age 14 will need to have an adult sponsor to receive a card. Patrons will need to update their information for the library.

EL Dig Into Poster

 SUMMER READING PROGRAM, Dig Into Reading, will begin in June.  First program, Tuesday, June 4, 2:00pm, at the library will be with  Kelsey Fuller and The Soil Tunnel Trailer.

 

 

APRIL EVENTS – 2013

 NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK:  April 14-20, 2013
Celebrate Your Library:  A place everyone can go to connect, discover, and explore.

The annual Library Tea will be Tuesday, April 16, at 2:00 pm.  Carol Hamman, guest speaker, will share her recent book about  Fleming School Memories and teacher Gertrude Gilligan.  Special guests include Sharan Hamman and others who assisted with the book or attended Fleming School as well as members of the Gilligan family.  There will be entertainment; and refreshments will be provided by Hartford United Methodist Women.

January 29 – theme is “Sunflowers and Birds” to celebrate Kansas Day 
  • Tammy Vopat, Lyon County Clerk, will be coming to the library in Hartford to assist Lyon County taxpayers age 60 and older, and/or low- and middle-income taxpayers with completion of Kansas Homestead Claims and/or Food Sales Tax Refund Claims.  Appointments can be made for Wednesday, February 13, 2013, between 9:00am and 12:00noon, at the library.  Stop by the library, call 392-5518, or email elmlibhartford@gmail.com to schedule the appointment.
